Nestled seductively on the outskirts of Tulbagh and straddling the Berg River, you will find Lemberg Wine Estate.  It is one of South Africa's smallest wine estates, a real family business.  We produce three distinctive and carefully crafted wines made from our selected grapes, handpicked at night.

Guest and day visitors are welcome to enjoy a wine tasting with personal attention and an informative cellar tour.

Our guesthouse is a lovely rondavel on the lake's edge.  You will find a cosy but spacious lounge leading into a fully equipped kitchen.  Large bedroom with ensuite bathroom.  Verandah and garden lead to the beautiful lake with magnificent mountain views.   

Although the rondavel is self catering, it is with great pleasure we spoil our guests with wholesome and delicious meals.  Breakfasts include home baked specialities.  Below are just three of our set lunch/dinner menus.  We also serve a number of starters, meat, fish, pasta and vegetarian dishes.  You can be served at the guesthouse or if you prefer, by the lake.

• Beef consommé with herbed crepes
• Fillet of ostrich with rosmarin potato gratin and fresh

• Vanilla ice cream with hot chocolate sauce and fruits of the season

• Smoked salmon crepes

• Fennel crusted fillet of sole with pasta or baby potatoes and vegetables

• Lemon flan

• Grilled tomatoes with mozzarella and thyme

• Fillet of kudu or springbok with homemade spaetzle, pear in red wine and quince jelly
• Fruit tart with vanilla ice cream
