Readers is an established restaurant on historic Church Street which also offers conference facilities for a maximum of 14 delegates. Delicious food is provided while use of computer and internet facilities is available.

Accommodation consists of 12 individually decorated luxury suites each with and en suite bathroom, and 3 self catering units which each consist of one double and one twin bedroom, lounge with fireplace, bathroom and kitchenette. Each cottage and suite has its own private terrace leading to the pool and is equipped with a direct dial telephone, television and shaver socket. Rijk's Ridge can accommodate up to 36 guests. The conference center overlooks the impressive Witzenberg Mountains as well as the newly planted vineyards to offer one peace and tranquility and a true art of country living. Adjoining the conference centre is the main Homestead with a large reception area, lounge and restaurant - both with fireplaces, a bar and pool room, as well as a lakeside terrace, which can be used for breakaways and meals. Being a country hotel we feel we can offer a more friendly, personal service to make your stay a memorable one.
Recreation facilities are extensive. These include the use of the Guest House's private swimming pool, snooker and pool, farm walks, eco tours and hikes in the nearby nature reserves and mountains, tours of the village, horse riding, trout and bass fishing in the local dams, wine tasting tours of the award winning cellars in Tulbagh, fruit picking, picnics, mountain biking, and of course access to the local shops and markets in Tulbagh. There is a gold course 20 minutes away. Rijk's also offers our guests fine country dining, making use of fresh produce daily.
Waterval Conference CentreWaterval Forestry Plantation, Tulbagh (from the R46, just after the Nuwekloof Pass, turn right at the Waterval sign) Tel: 023 230 0807 Conferences can be tailored to the individual requirements of each company. Conferences can be arranged for delegates numbering 6 to 34 in an air conditioned conference room and accommodation can be provided for 34 sharing or 19 single. The oak trapezoid tables and designer fabric chairs with arm rests are both functional and very comfortable. Accommodation is in en suite luxury safari tents or luxury en suite log cabins. If more accommodation is needed the Country Lodge is used as well. The day starts with a full English breakfast, lunch either in the dining room, or on the lawn beside the pool or at the picnic site by the waterfall. Dinner can either be formal in the dining room or more often a barbeque at the Bush Camp around an open fire, where it enables delegates to carry on with their bonding and camaraderie that is so important in business life today. Set in its own 40 acres in the middle of Waterval forestry reserve it makes a quiet and peaceful venue away from hectic city life. The full 24 hour conference package is R345 per delegate sharing, extra R50 single. Day conference is R125 per person.

Starting with the delegates staying in luxury safari tents and log cabins, to open air conferencing on our open air deck or waterfall site, to the various team building exercises on offer. We cater for team building exercises that are testing, both mentally and physically, but that can be arranged by any age and fitness level. Our trained instructors are always available to ensure that everything runs smoothly. So whether it is our favourite sheep herding, sack races, cargo net climbing or abseiling we will help you build your team!
